Willow  Cottage

Take the Ardrossan - Brodick ferry, run by   Caledonian MacBrayne.   Turn right out of the harbour and drive through Brodick on the A841 coastal road with the sea on your right. Just over 1 mile from the harbour, bear left on to the B880 (know locally as "The String"). In about 5 and half miles, take a right hand fork to Machrie. After about 2 and a half miles, rejoin the A841 coastal road, travelling north with the sea on your left. After 6 miles, the road leaves the coast as it goes up over Whitefarland Point. As it comes down the other side of the hill, you will see a cluster of four white houses. Willow Cottage is the last on the left.

Take the Claonaig - Lochranza car ferry to the north of the Island, motor south down the A841 coastal road. Whitefarland is about 1 mile after Pirnmill. As you reach Whitefarland Point, you will find a cluster of four houses just before the road temporarily leaves the coast. Willow Cottage is the first on the right.

Buses, run by   Stagecoach,  go to & from every (Ardrossan - Brodick)  boat.
The North End buses pass by Willow Cottage.
